PROCEDURE
1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
(a) for HFC-134a (R134a):

2. REMOVE PRESSURE REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(1) Remove the 2 bolts and pressure regulator sub-assembly.
(2) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 suction tube.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
(3) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL PRESSURE REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(1) Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioning tube assembly and pressure regulator sub-assembly, and sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the air conditioning tube assembly.
Compressor Oil:
ND-OIL 11 or equivalent
(2) Install the O-ring to the air conditioning tube assembly.
NOTICE:
Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surface free from foreign matter.
(3) Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 1 suction tube and pressure regulator sub-assembly, and sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the No. 1 suction tube.
Compressor Oil:
ND-OIL 11 or equivalent
(4) Install the O-ring to the No. 1 suction tube.
NOTICE:
Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surface free from foreign matter.
(5) Connect the No. 1 suction tube and air conditioning tube assembly and pressure regulator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Install the pressure regulator sub-assembly with the arrow facing front.
(6) Install the pressure regulator sub-assembly with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.
Torque:
9.8 N·m {100 kgf·cm, 87 in·lbf}
