PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(1) Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise until it cannot be turned easily.
NOTICE:
The shift lever knob sub-assembly will become difficult to turn when the transmission floor shift assembly contacts the non-threaded part of the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
(2) Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise an additional 360° or more to install it as shown in the illustration.
(3) Tighten the shift lever knob sub-assembly until it is aligned with the longitudinal direction of the Toyota Prius vehicle.
NOTICE:
- Make sure to only turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise when adjusting the installation position.
- After installing the shift lever knob sub-assembly, move the shift lever to each shift position and confirm that the shift lever knob sub-assembly does not contact the position indicator housing.
