The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH or differential side gear shaft type T oil seal RH removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

3. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

(a) Using SST, remove the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH from the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

SST: 09308-00010

NOTICE:

Do not damage the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

4. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

(a) Using SST, remove the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal RH from the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

SST: 09308-00010

NOTICE:

Do not damage the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

5. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

(a) Using SST and a hammer, install a new differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

SST: 09223-00010

Standard Depth:

-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

NOTICE:

Evenly tap in the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH to prevent it from being installed at an angle.
Be careful not to damage the lip of the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH.

(b) Coat the lip of the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal LH with a small amount of MP grease.

6. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

(a) Using SST and a hammer, install a new differential side gear shaft type T oil seal RH to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

SST: 09223-00010

Standard Depth:

-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

NOTICE:

Evenly tap in the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal RH to prevent it from being installed at an angle.
Be careful not to damage the lip of the differential side gear shaft type T oil seal RH.
