1. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

3. REMOVE IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Click Location & Routing(K34) Click Connector(K34)

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition	Result
K34-5 (IG) - K34-2 (E)	IPA main switch assembly ON	0 to 20 Ω	Ω
K34-5 (IG) - K34-2 (E)	IPA main switch assembly OFF	10 kΩ or higher	kΩ

If the result is not as specified, replace the IPA main switch assembly.

*a	Component without harness connected (IPA Main Switch Assembly)

(b) Check that the switch illumination illuminates.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the IPA main switch assembly and check that the switch illumination illuminates.

OK:

Tester Connection

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive ( ) → K34-6 (ILL )

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → K34-1 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the IPA main switch assembly.
